I saw on plurk that Ms. Esme Michigan had started up a new shop w/ Ms. Chav Paderborn, to be called idk, and I started to get antsy. I wanted to SEE! The preview image included a bird shirt, which only ratcheted up the antsiness. Being inherently impatient, I IM'd Esme ... attempting to pretend to be patient while prodding for "OPEN WHEN NOW"? and ...

She sent me a preview folder!!!

I asked about the hair name, and the style is Louise Brooks-inspired, the stripe quail-inspired. I love the rainbowy, silhouette-y bird shirt and the SFMOMA-stripe bubble skirt together - it is a cuteness.

I can see the edges of the freeb tiny bird tattoo I've been sporting over my bits. Bits in flight! What a ... horrible thought. hahahahaha oh god

Ok so ... tiny bird tattoos. This hair shop on Festivale has a wee gift box with birdy tattos for the right shoulder, wrists, and the aforementioned bits, seen throughout this post. (the tattoos, not my bits, duh - god what is it with me and my bits tonight!?) Not sure how long they will be available, but I really really appreciate this bird-related freeb, especially the chickadee (I think?) on the shoulder - a nice break from crows and cranes!



Please recall, I am not a good SL photographer (wtf is that black line on the right side of my photos?), nor am I an actual SL fashion blogger (hello, freeb poses and I didn't change my skin), I just pretend I'm one when I find adornment involving birds, feathers, eggs, and nests. Anyway, I hope this post got you excited for idk too. ;-)

I love my bird pimps. I was pointed in the direction of this skin by Bird Pimp Prime. It has a birdy by the eye and a birdy over the boob and by god that's enough for me. HOOT! It's 50L at Pulse's shop on RFyre in a little purple box on the floor RIGHT NOW omg and there is a matching one for the male types too!!! (the guy one is in a green box) *freakout* I'm going to log Edd to pick up one for him too, poor guy hardly gets out. The skin is called "Kissed by Raven" and yep, that's what it says over mah boob. If only.



Also, around the corner, there is a crow chest tattoo at addiXion. Mmmmmm crowy.



What else? OH yes, and I found the BOSL hunt Phoenix Rising dress, which has a feathery train and hair thingy, right here. I have a photo of that ...

walking duckling

Last night just as I was about to log, Miss Aisuru asked me if I'd seen the owl and duckling at D-Lab at Albero. The owl I had seen, but duckling!?

*whoosh!*

(That was the sound of me doing an immediate tp.)



OMG adorable. He waddles around in this lazy circle, swaying from side to side. Click him, he stays still. Click again, he waddles again. EZ. Furthermore, he is copy, so you could totally lag out a sim by rezzing a mess of waddling, circling ducklings. Can you imagine? /me drifts off into a reverie ...



I am bleeding from the cuteness. Is perfect for the springtime, you know.

free birdhouses!

Ok, I've had a day full of irritation and disapproval and two margaritas, let's see how this post will go!

Miss Elualie, who is the awsum finder of free things, pointed me in the direction of these birdhouses at Sway's Creations. They are a part of a hunt of some sort (yay hunts!), so if you want them, run. They are in an egg by a sign. Here. You will get landed in the main landing spot, but for some reason you won't get a beacon, so crawl around until you get to the coordinates like I did. Or don't. Sup to you.



So it's like, yeah, a couple of birdhouses, but you know what? One of them has a birdie within, and ... it moves around! Aw. How come I'm such a sucker for that? Anyway. As Eulalie said, not bad for free!

K, like I said, two margaritas. That's all I got.

Yes, I've been called "birdbrain" a number of times in my short SLife. I am totally comfortable with that title (just don't call me "hooters" if you want your teeth to remain in your mouth) . Also, I am quite comfortable wearing this new Magika hair, birdhead:





Yes, it is very silly. But so am I. And so I shall wear this hair all over the place, as though it were perfectly normal to have two bird-shaped wads of hair on one's head. Who's going to stop me?

Also, the lil lovebird on my shoulder is SHD (spikey-haired dragon!), and comes packaged with the two lovebirds on a stand that may be found here. Pssst ... click the wee birdie, and he scrolls through four different lovebird species: masked, fisher's, peach-faced, and lilian's! (I think I got the species right ...)
